The Washington County Health Coalition has officially resumed meetings. The Health Coalition suspended meetings during the pandemic to allow our participating health professionals to focus on combatting the virus to the best of their ability. After a several action planning workshops this spring, the coalition, lead by community champions TR Dudley and Kelly Brueggen, began meeting again with a renewed focus and a mission to improve the health of Washington county.
The first health topics the renewed Health Coalition plans to tackle are Substance Abuse and Mental Health Needs. These topics were selected by Washington County community members, due to a need for more education, awareness, and treatment options in Washington County. Two sub-committees of the coalition were formed to oversee community constructed action plans in both areas.
